What is a carpet design manager?

Carpet Design Managers are professionals responsible for overseeing the creation, development, and execution of carpet designs within a manufacturing or design company. They lead teams of designers, collaborate with clients and production departments, and ensure that the final products meet aesthetic, functional, and commercial requirements. Their role often involves trend forecasting, quality control, and project management to ensure the successful delivery of innovative carpet collections.

How does a carpet design manager typically collaborate with manufacturing and sales teams during the design process?

A Carpet Design Manager works closely with manufacturing teams to ensure that design concepts are feasible for production, taking into account material constraints, dye capabilities, and weaving techniques. They also partner with sales teams to align designs with current market trends and customer preferences, often attending client meetings or trade shows to gather direct feedback. This collaborative approach helps ensure that the final carpet products are both innovative and commercially viable, balancing creativity with practical business objectives.
