Job description

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to perform a wide variety of journey-level carpentry, construction, repair, and installation work in support of facility operations. This role is responsible for building, installing, maintaining, and repairing structural and finish components, including doors, windows, walls, flooring, cabinetry, furniture, and other facility assets. The successful candidate will fabricate custom wood and metal components, perform drywall and surface finishing work, install hardware and flooring systems, and complete renovations and repairs to ensure safe, functional, and attractive facilities.

This position also supports office and space reconfigurations through the installation and modification of modular furniture systems, ergonomic workstations, and audiovisual equipment. Responsibilities include interpreting blueprints and work orders, estimating materials and labor, ordering supplies, and developing practical solutions for unique construction and repair needs. The Carpenter works both independently and collaboratively, maintains a strong commitment to safety and quality craftsmanship, and may assist with training and guiding less experienced employees. Through a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving, and customer service, this position helps create and maintain welcoming and efficient environments for building occupants.

Required Minimum Qualifications:
Four years of experience in the trade, including apprenticeship.
