Job description

CARPENTER | San Luis Obispo County, CA

About the Role

Rogall + Co. is hiring a skilled Carpenter for residential projects across California's Central Coast. This is a hands-on field role — you'll execute carpentry and finishing work on active job sites, work alongside a crew lead and fellow carpenters, and take real ownership of your craft every day.

If you're a dependable carpenter looking for steady work in San Luis Obispo County with room to grow, this is it.

Why Rogall + Co.

  • Safety first, always — we have real policies, real training, and a crew that looks out for each other
  • Room to grow — we promote from within and invest in skill development for carpenters who want to advance
  • Craftsmanship matters here — we don't cut corners, and neither do our people
  • Work you can be proud of across SLO County's residential neighborhoods and scenic Central Coast communities

What You'll Do:

Job Site Setup & Management

  • Prepare work areas, stage tools, and set up ladders safely and efficiently under direction of the Crew Lead or Field Supervisor
  • Keep job sites clean, organized, and compliant throughout the day — including on-site shop areas
  • Ensure company trucks are stocked, clean, and ready for each project

Carpentry & Finish Work

  • Perform a full range of carpentry tasks: framing, trim work, sanding, caulking, priming, and hardware installation
  • Work on structural and decorative elements — windows, doors, fascia, shutters — and deliver a professional finish every time

Equipment & Safety

  • Inspect and maintain tools and equipment regularly; report issues promptly
  • Attend safety training and seminars; stay current on best practices
  • Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to job site dress code standards

What We're Looking For:

REQUIRED:

  • Foundational carpentry skills with a strong ability to learn on the job
  • Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, and ladders
  • Personal hand tools (you're responsible for your own kit)
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites
  • Ability to work at heights throughout the workday
  • Punctual, dependable, and able to keep pace in a fast-moving environment

Preferred:

  • Prior experience in residential construction, painting, or finish carpentry
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus!

Who Thrives Here

  • Coachable and humble — you take direction well and reflect on your own performance
  • Curious and growth-minded — you want to keep getting better
  • Reliable and precise — the crew counts on you to show up and follow through

A Note on Applying

Research shows that women and underrepresented candidates in the trades often don't apply unless they meet every qualification listed. At Rogall + Co., we're building a diverse, inclusive team because we believe it makes us better — at our work and as a company.

Our mission is "Inspiring Home Health and Beautification — one person, one home, one neighborhood at a time." If that resonates with you, apply. Even if you don't check every box, you might be exactly who we're looking for — for this role or one coming up soon.

About Rogall + Co. Rogall + Co. is a home services and construction company based in Morro Bay, CA, serving San Luis Obispo County and the surrounding Central Coast. We specialize in residential painting and carpentry, and we're growing fast.
