Job description


The Track Laborer is responsible for maintenance and repairs of the racetrack surfaces and physical structures in the organization.
Responsibilities
  • Repair pylons and fence as needed
  • Remove and place rail as required
  • Minor carpentry work
  • Minor welding repairs
  • Assist Landscaping staff when required
  • Assist with operations of the equipment/ machinery as needed

Qualifications
  • Must have an outgoing, energetic and enthusiastic attitude.
  • Must be comfortable initiating conversations and creating a fun environment with our guests.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Must be able to obtain an Indiana Horse Racing License.
    ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
