Rough/Form Carpenter


Location: Fort Wayne, IN

Pay: $28.00-$35.00 per hour (DOE) + Overtime

LEAD is looking for experienced Rough/Form Carpenters to join our team on a commercial construction project in Fort Wayne, IN. What You'll Do

Build, assemble, and install concrete formwork for commercial construction projects.

Construct custom concrete forms, including bulkheads and construction joints.

Install form ties, walers, wedge bolts, turnbuckles, and other form support systems.

Read and follow construction plans, layouts, and specifications.

Work closely with Foremen and Superintendents to complete projects safely and on schedule.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

Perform quality workmanship while meeting project deadlines.


Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience as a Rough Carpenter or Form Carpenter.
  • Experience with commercial concrete form systems.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, climb, kneel, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and building plans.
  • Prepare project layouts and determine dimensions and materials needed.
  • Measure, mark, and arrange materials based on blueprints or instructions.
  • Build, set, and strip concrete forms for footings, walls, columns, decks, and slabs.
  • Assist with site layout and basic carpentry tasks as needed.
  • Collaborate with foremen and other trades to meet schedule demands.
  • Perform other related duties as needed.


Requirements

  • OSHA 10
  • Must pass background and 10 panel drug test
  • Must have valid drivers license
  • Must be able to work M-F 8-12 Hour plus days, Saturdays and some Sundays.
  • Must be able to commute to jobsite for required work schedule.
  • Must have steel toe work boots
  • Must have reliable transportation
