Job description

Blood Assurance is seeking a Finish Carpenter, where your craftsmanship and attention to detail will help shape high-quality, woodwork in our Chattanooga Mobile Shop. In this role, you will create cabinets and work with laminate that enhance the aesthetic appeal and functionality of our projects. Collaborate closely with a talented team in a dynamic environment, contributing to projects that prioritize excellence and innovation.


Finish Carpenter Job Responsibilities

- Interpret and analyze blueprints, sketches, and building plans to determine material requirements and accurate measurements.

- Install, repair, and maintain wooden structures and fixtures.

- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood and other materials with precision using hand and power tools like table saws, edge banders and routers

- Ensure all work meets building codes, safety standards, and project specifications.

- Collaborate with architects, designers, and other construction professionals to achieve desired results.

- Perform finish work, including sanding, staining, varnishing, and sealing to enhance the appearance and durability of wood surfaces.

- Inspect and select the best materials for projects, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.

- Maintain tools and equipment in safe and efficient working conditions.

- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or discrepancies during the building and finishing process.

- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all waste materials are properly disposed of.


Finish Carpenter Job Requirements

-CNC Machine Experience preferred

- Proven experience as a Finish Carpenter or in a similar role.

- High proficiency in using woodworking tools and machines.

- Strong understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction.

- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.

- Excellent knowledge of wood properties and other carpentry materials.

- Strong attention to detail and precision in work.

- Ability to measure, cut, shape, and install wooden and other structures with high accuracy.

- Good physical condition and stamina; capable of lifting heavy materials and working in various positions.

- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

- Familiarity with safety guidelines and regulations in carpentry and construction.

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in carpentry is a plus.
