Job description

Carolina Caring is seeking a skilled and compassionate Counselor to work with our pediatric program serving terminally ill children and their families. This role provides emotional support and grief counseling to children and their families as they navigate the unique challenges associated with terminal illness and loss.

The position will primarily support the Mecklenburg County area. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply; bilingual skills are preferred but not required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide grief counseling and emotional support to pediatric patients and their families
  • Assess individual and family bereavement needs and coping skills to develop appropriate plans for support
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support children and families
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards
  • Provide compassionate, family-centered support that reflects the mission and values of Carolina Caring

This is a part-time position supporting Carolina Caring's pediatric program in the Mecklenburg County area.

Bilingual preferred but not required.
