Job description

This role is eligible for a $5,000 sign-on bonus, subject to the terms and conditions of the Company's sign-on bonus program.

This position is based out of our of Somerset, PA office. 

Your Responsibilities as a Survey Technician:

  • Perform topography, construction stakeout, as built, and control surveys using conventional and GPS survey methods
  • Perform aerial mapping surveys using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) and have a general understanding of UAV technology
  • Proficient with Carlson and Trimble GPS systems 
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of construction drawings. 
  • Have a solid understanding of CAD/Carlson software
  • Document field observations and prepare daily field reports
  • Perform office computations for stakeout 
  • Observe safe work practices

What we're looking for:

  • GED or High School Diploma, Associates Degree preferred. 
  • 3+years of survey experience required 
  • Ability to work with design engineers, clients, contractors, and the general public 
  • Ability to work well in a team environment 
  • Experience with different surveys and survey equipment. 
  • Ableto perform manual labor, able to carry50+ pounds of equipment, walkacross varying terrain, etc. 
  • Valid drivers license and good driving record.
  • Thorough understanding of safe work practices in accordance with OSHA regulations 
  • Sponsorship not available now or in the future
