Business Finance Analyst – Supply Chain

This role will provide data driven analysis and support the Finance organization and leaders in the organization.

Location: This is a Hybrid role based out of our corporate offices in Newport News, VA location, in accordance with the Ferguson Flex schedule; 3 days office / 2 days remote.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in financial business case modeling.
  • Measure the success of implemented business cases and communicate findings to leadership and partners.
  • Collaborate with the Global Logistics group to calculate product landed costs and serve as a subject matter authority.
  • Develop and maintain interactive analytic reports in Power BI and Power Pivot for end user visualization of performance and benchmarks.
  • Act as a liaison between Information Technology and other departments.
  • Provide recurring and ad hoc analytics to support business decisions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, information systems or similar discipline.
  • 2-4 years of analytical experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel (PowerPivot, Power Query).
  • SQL knowledge and usage required.
  • Experience with extracting, transforming, and normalizing data using systems such as Power Query and Azure Data Studio.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to visualize financial data using Excel and Power BI.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and rapidly changing environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle competing priorities.
