Royal Caribbean Group's Royal Caribbean International Brand has an exciting career opportunity for a full-time Senior Financial Analyst, Product Development reporting to the Manager, Product Development & Newbuild Finance.
This position works on-site in Miami, Florida.
Position Summary:
The Senior Financial Analyst, Product Development, serves as an integral member of Royal Caribbean's Finance organization, specifically supporting the Product Development Finance team.
The Product Development organization oversees a dynamic portfolio of strategic investments, including Perfect Day destinations, Royal Beach Clubs, ship newbuilds, and fleet modernization projects. The team partners across a broad range of disciplines, including Product Development, Project Management, Innovation, Architecture & Design, Construction, Environmental, and Land Acquisition.
This position is responsible for performing and coordinating financial analyses that support operational decision-making and strategic initiatives. Key responsibilities include G&A expense management and capitalized labor accounting across both land-based developments and shipboard projects. The role also provides financial planning, forecasting, and reporting support for capital projects and related investments.
Success in this position requires strong analytical capabilities, business partnership skills, and the ability to effectively communicate insights and recommendations to senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage Product Development G&A expenses, including month-end close activities, journal entries, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
  • Review and approve expense requests, track spending, maintain accurate forecasts based on business assumptions and actual performance, proactively identify risks and opportunities, and partner with Product Development leadership to recommend cost mitigation strategies.
  • Participate in month-end financial review meetings with Finance executive leadership, presenting variance explanations, key business drivers, and forward-looking insights.
  • Own and administer the capitalized labor process by partnering with leaders across Product, Innovation, PMO, Design, Construction, Environmental, and other Product Development functions to ensure labor costs are appropriately captured and allocated to applicable land-based and shipboard projects.
  • Support capitalized labor budgeting and forecasting processes, including annual planning, monthly consolidations, project performance tracking, and risk analysis. Provide meaningful insights and recommendations to project managers and business leaders.
  • Own headcount tracking and Work Force Planning initiatives with leadership.
  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis and support to the Product Development Finance team while helping drive process improvements, efficiency initiatives, and standardization across project teams.
  • Champion the adoption of AI-enabled tools and technologies by identifying opportunities to automate routine processes, improve reporting capabilities, and enhance analytical insights. Leverage tools such as Copilot, Claude, and other emerging technologies to drive productivity and decision support.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field required.
  • Three to five years of progressive experience in financial analysis, business analysis, FP&A, controllership, or related disciplines; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to audiences at all organizational levels.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, including expertise in advanced formulas, financial modeling, data analysis, and transforming large datasets into actionable business insights.
  • Experience and knowledge with Oracle ERP/EPM system.
  • Experience using AI-powered productivity and analytical tools, such as Microsoft Copilot, Claude, or similar technologies.
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with demonstrated ability to evaluate alternatives, identify risks, and recommend practical business solutions.
  • Proven problem-solving capabilities, including the ability to analyze complex issues, synthesize information, and implement effective solutions.
  • Strong executive presentation skills with the ability to develop compelling financial narratives and communicate business recommendations clearly and effectively.
  • Excellent listening, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills with a demonstrated ability to build relationships and influence outcomes across functions.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of financial and operational drivers.
  • Knowledge of the cruise, hospitality, travel, or leisure industry is preferred.
