Vaxcom Services LLC (a Parsons company) is looking for an amazingly talented Cargo Screener to join our team! In this role you will get to be part of a small, cohesive team that receives and processes cargo into a classified federal warehouse.
What You'll Be Doing:
  • Be the primary point of contact for all incoming cargo shipments to the classified federal warehouse.
  • Physically receive and screen all incoming cargo shipments completing required documentation to accept the cargo while ensuring that standard safety protocols for handling of the items are adhered to.
  • Use moving and/or loading/unloading equipment to bring the items from the delivery vehicle into the facility and to the end point storage location.
  • Ensure that uncleared individuals do not handle nor possess classified material outside of their normal scope of business.
  • Verify inventory lists/cargo manifests/bills of lading match items received and when there is a mismatch, accurately document the problem communicating to management.
  • Inspecting for damaged items before accepting delivery of the cargo documenting the issue.
  • Perform ad hoc responsibilities as required by the Sponsor.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:
  • Demonstrated outstanding organizational skills and the ability to successfully multi-task on a regular basis.
  • 2+ years of cumulative experience working with cargo, shipments, deliveries, or warehouse operations.
  • Demonstrated successful experience working as part of a team yet must be able to operate independently to accomplish assigned tasks.
  • Demonstrated effective communication skills (both written and verbal) with people at all levels.
  • Must have a keen eye for detail and be able to closely scrutinize documentation to ensure accuracy.
  • Must be able to resolve issues at the lowest level.
  • Must possess a current and active SECRET level security clearance.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
  • Previous experience working in a classified federal warehouse environment.
  • Previous experience handling shipping documentation including manifests, bills of lading, inventory lists, and other shipping/receiving related forms.
  • Previous experience with warehouse moving and loading/unloading equipment.
  • Forklift operation and certification.

Security Clearance Requirement:
An active Secret security clearance is required for this position.
