At Southside Surgery Center, we make it our mission to give our patients reasons to smile every day. Now, we're seeking a talented Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon to join our passionate team and help us maintain our commitment to quality surgical care.
 
Schedule: Monday - Thursday (4-day work week)
 
Opportunity Highlights:
Exceptional Production & Immediate Full Schedule: The practice has averaged approximately $4 million annually for a single practitioner working roughly 4 days per week, with an established referral base from day one.
Annual Guaranteed Salary with signing bonus and transition to percentage-based compensation after reaching break-even.
Comprehensive Oral & Maxillofacial Surgical Services: For over 32 years, Southside Surgery Center has provided comprehensive oral and maxillofacial surgery and facial plastic and reconstructive services to Greenwood and the greater Indianapolis metropolitan area, including dental alveolar surgery, bone grafting and implant reconstruction, sinus lifts and ridge splitting, orthognathic surgery, TMJ surgery (including joint replacement), pathology, obstructive sleep apnea surgery, sinus surgery, limited cleft lip/palate/alveolus, and full-scope facial plastic and reconstructive surgery including rhytidectomy (face/neck lift), cervical facial liposuction, rhinoplasty, blepharoplasty, otoplasty, septoplasty, Botox, and dermal fillers.
State-of-the-Art Surgical Facility: Our fully equipped center features six individual surgical suites, a dedicated consultation room, Carestream 9600 Series CBCT, Stryker surgical hand pieces, orthognathic surgery equipment including reciprocating and oscillating saws, carbon dioxide laser, Elman radial surgical unit, dual autoclaves, and comprehensive modern office management systems (WinOMS) Carestream.
Expert Team & Mentorship: Our clinical and administrative team includes four front office staff, a dedicated transcriptionist, and two surgical assistants certified by AAOMS in anesthesia assisting. The senior doctor (Managing Partner) is committed to remaining on for mentorship, including cosmetic surgery and obstructive sleep apnea surgery, or any areas where additional guidance is desired.

Thriving Community & Strong Referral Network: Greenwood, Indiana is a growing city of approximately 70,000 residents located on the south side of Indianapolis. The greater Indianapolis metropolitan area encompasses well over 3 million people, offering a broad and stable patient base. The Indianapolis District Dental Society includes approximately 1,500 dentists and specialists, and Southside Surgery Center maintains an active referral base of more than 150 physicians and dentists annually.

Qualifications:
Required: DDS or DMD from an accredited institution, completion of an accredited Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery (OMS) residency program, board certification or board eligibility by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and a valid dental license with DEA registration in the relevant jurisdiction.
Encouraged: Hospital privileges at St. Francis Hospital Indianapolis or Franciscan Surgery Center (not mandatory but encouraged to be able to treat patients that require a hospital setting).
 
As an Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon, you will:
Perform complex extractions, wisdom tooth removal, dental implants, bone grafting, orthognathic surgery, TMJ surgery, pathology procedures, obstructive sleep apnea surgery, and other oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures with a high standard of care, utilizing advanced imaging and diagnostic tools for precise surgical planning.
Optionally participate in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery procedures, with mentorship and training available for candidates with interest (not mandatory).
Diagnose and treat oral and maxillofacial conditions, provide sedation and anesthesia per state regulations, and educate patients on pre- and post-operative care to ensure optimal outcomes and smooth recovery.
Develop comprehensive treatment plans in coordination with general dentists, orthodontists, pediatric dentists, endodontists, and specialists, collaborate with referring doctors and team members from our extensive referral network of over 150 physicians and dentists, and enhance interdisciplinary care and the patient experience.
Maintain compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and state dental board regulations while staying current with advancements in oral surgery through continuing education and professional development.
