Job description

About Kirkland & Ellis
At Kirkland & Ellis, we don't just meet the standard for legal excellence - we set it. Our culture is built on teamwork, ingenuity and an unwavering commitment to continuous growth. We tackle the most sophisticated legal challenges with bold ideas and innovative solutions, powered by the exceptional experience and ambition of our 7,000+ people, including 4,000+ attorneys, across 23 offices worldwide. Our dedicated professionals share our lawyers' commitment to excellence and show up each day to do meaningful work that helps drive global business, investment and innovation forward.
What You'll Do
The Role
Are you energized by turning complex data and processes into clear, efficient, and impactful work?
As a Firmwide CareerLink Coordinator, you'll be part of the Learning & Development team, reporting to the Firmwide Director of CareerLink. This role plays a critical part in supporting the CareerLink program; an industry leading offering that helps attorneys, alumni, and clients define and pursue career success through coaching, resources, and powerful professional networks.
You'll be at the center of the team's operations, ensuring data accuracy, producing meaningful insights, and helping modernize workflows through technology, automation, and AI enabled tools. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is highly organized, detail driven, and excited to improve how work gets done.
• Program Data Management & Integrity: Create, update, audit, and close client profiles across CareerLink systems (including SharePoint), execute database clean up projects, and maintain organized, easily retrievable program information.
• Reporting, Dashboards & Insights: Prepare and distribute recurring and ad hoc reports, support dashboards and summary views, and provide leadership and stakeholders with clear visibility into program metrics and activity.
• Surveys & Program Communications: Distribute client surveys, compile results, and manage standard welcome and program communications for new and existing clients.
• Job Board & Market Intelligence: Research, draft, and maintain job postings for the CareerLink job board, support ongoing content updates and monthly reporting, and generate company intelligence using tools such as PitchBook, BoardEx, and LinkedIn.
• Technology, Automation & Process Improvement: Identify workflow inefficiencies, document current processes, pilot and evaluate automation solutions, and support modernization efforts using tools such as Microsoft Copilot and Power Automate.
• Administrative & Team Support: Monitor the CareerLink inbox, assist with scheduling and calendar management, format and proofread materials, support marketing initiatives, and provide flexible support across the broader Learning & Development team.
What You'll Bring
• Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience: At least two years in an administrative, operations, data coordination, or similar support role; experience in a law firm, professional services, or legal recruiting environment is preferred.
• Data & Organization Skills: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Technology Curiosity: Demonstrated interest or exposure to AI tools, automation, or process improvement initiatives; curiosity and adaptability matter more than technical depth.
• Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with confidence interacting professionally with attorneys, staff, clients, and external partners.
• Collaboration & Judgment: A responsive, team oriented approach, sound professional judgment, and discretion when handling confidential information.
• Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint; familiarity with SharePoint, databases or CRMs, Microsoft Copilot, Power Automate, and research platforms is a plus.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work core business hours and additional time as needed.
If you're excited to support meaningful career development work, modernize processes through technology, and make a real impact as a CareerLink Coordinator, we'd love to hear from you!
