Care Partner (2 South) - PRN

Job Description

Care Partners are responsible for providing assistance to staff and patients, helping to create a safe and supportive environment. They perform duties in the direct and indirect treatment of patients as directed by RN staff. Performs computer charting functions to ensure an accurate and complete patient record.

Responsibilities

Applies cardiac monitor in alignment with approved policies, procedures, and physician orders., Completes assigned tasks in alignment with infection control standards., Documents and reports care delivered to patients under the direct supervision of an RN., Obtains and maintains professional knowledge by completing required knowledge and skills through orientation and competency activities specific to the unit, unit based in-service programs, and seeking new clinical learning opportunities., Promotes a safe environment by maintaining high fall risk precautions, skin risk precautions, and patient specific precautions., Promotes patient comfort and mobility through ambulation, turning, and repositioning., Provides direct age-appropriate care to patients under the supervision of the RN. Assists with activities of daily living, performs EKG's and finger stick blood sugars and bladder scans., Supports relationship-based care by providing compassionate, holistic care to patients, family, and co-workers and promoting a safe, caring, and healing environment.
