Job description

POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for managing all operational and business objectives tied to Debit Card Product portfolio and ATMs, including all assigned projects and goals for the card & payments portfolio, as well as other payment initiatives/projects as assigned by the Cards and Payments Manager and/or Cards and Strategy Division Head (Manager and/or Division Head). Oversees all aspects of projects to ensure each is completed on time, within scope, and on budget.  Additionally, the Senior Product Manager is responsible for product planning/forecasting and supports the execution of product related promotions/offerings, including coordination, product evaluation, due diligence, and any other related duties.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Supports in conjunction with the Manager and/or Division Head, helps to define the Card & Payments roadmap by supporting all strategy/planning associated with future product changes and/or enhancements.
  • Leads most, if not all, product enhancements for all things card, ATM and other forms of payment, including being the senior leader on all formal projects tied to Cards and Payments as well as other payment initiatives as assigned by Manager and/or Division Head.
  • Supports the development of products, systems, and solutions, and the daily operating and control functions of the Card & Payments department.
  • Maintains knowledge on bank regulatory developments; disseminates information as required, helps to ensure the Bank is current and fully compliant.
  • Assists and supports all groups and divisions in analyzing and implementing operational improvements.
  • Works directly with Manager and/or Division Head to establish long range goals and strategies for the Retail Administration & Deposit Operations department.
  • Supports the Manager and/or Division Head in maintaining reasonable service levels for the Card & Payments Department.
  • Serves a pivotal role in establishing and maturing the department’s vendor management capabilities inclusive of contract lifecycle management activities.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential requirement of the position.
  • Responsible for the completion of all compliance training related to the position.
  • Understands all applicable laws and regulations that apply to the position and complies with the requirements.

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Performs all other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS

  • Ten (10) or more years of payments experience preferred, specifically around both credit and debit card usage and issuance; ACH & wire; ATM hardware and software; digital payments along with new and emerging payments, like RTP/FedNow.
  • Has an understanding of software development life cycle models as well as knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices.
  • Ability to lead software development projects and ensure objectives, goals, and commitments are met.
  • Excellent oral, written and presentation communications skills.
  • Ability to work with MS Office product suite applications including MS Project and MS Access.
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, verbal, and written communication skills, including experience with executive-level communication.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work with no supervision; manages time for high productivity and allocates resources to match production needs.
  • Ability to be proactive, take initiative, and carefully monitor, follow through, and complete every project/responsibility.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to protect the confidentiality/privacy of others, and of company documents and records.
  • Strong, well-honed reasoning and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong time management skills.

EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in business computer science or administration preferred.
