Inventory Assistant

Curry Auto Center, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Inventory Assistant to join our Business Development Center full-time. This role supports the sales management team by ensuring our vehicle inventory is well-maintained and merchandised effectively. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment. This position requires a professional demeanor, strong communication skills, and proficiency with computer applications including Microsoft Outlook/360, Office, Word, and Excel.

Responsibilities
  • Stage new and pre-owned vehicles on the lot following sales management’s directives.
  • Maintain and update whiteboards for the sales team to track inbound sold orders, salesperson unit counts, monthly incentives, and other relevant information.
  • Perform physical merchandising by ensuring vehicles are clean, appropriately dressed with stickers and plates, and parked neatly.
  • Conduct digital merchandising by photographing pre-owned vehicles and uploading images to the company website, aiming for a five-day turnaround from vehicle arrival.
  • Remove transport plastic, tape, and paper from new vehicles, as well as auction or competing dealership information from pre-owned vehicles.
  • Complete weekly physical inventory walks to verify that all vehicles are accounted for in dealership possession.
  • Utilize iRecon software to complete assigned tasks and monitor merchandising turnaround times.
  • Assist with additional projects within the Sales Department, such as scheduling recalls for non-GM vehicles and driving vehicles to vendors as needed.
  • Process and prepare dealer trade paperwork accurately and in an organized manner.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support the team.
Requirements
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with professionalism in both in-person and phone interactions.
  • Strong organizational skills and the capacity to multitask efficiently.
  • Proficiency with computers and email, including Microsoft Outlook/360, Office Suite, Word, and Excel.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (required).
  • Willingness to work Monday through Friday, with weekends as needed.
  • Ability to commute to and work on-site in Bloomington, IN 47401.
