Summary:

Serves as an staffing resource office pool team member completing 13-week assignments with our hospital Cardiovascular and Interventional Services Team, who assist in the performance of diagnostic and invasive procedures. Independently functions during diagnostic and interventions with minimal supervision.

Position Description: SRO System Pool Cardiac Cath Lab Tech-13-26 week full time assignment with on call requirements. Position fills staffing needs of unit.

The Cardiovascular Interventional Tech serves as a member of the Cardiovascular and Interventional Services Team assisting in the performance of diagnostic and invasive procedures. Independently functions during diagnostic and interventions with minimal supervision.

  • Scrubbing in for Procedures (Cardiac Caths and Pacemaker Implants)

  • Using Hemodynamic System to Monitor Patient and Document Procedure

  • On Call for Emergent Procedures

Minimum Qualifications (May qualify 1 of 5 ways):

1) Technical or Associates in Radiology + ARRT (Radiologic Technologist) + 1 year experience in Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology or Electrophysiology OR

2) Associates in Respiratory+ RRT (Respiratory Therapy), Active NBRC Credential for RRT + 1 year experience in Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology or Electrophysiology OR

3) Graduate of Cardiovascular Technology (CVT) Program/Degree and No Experience OR

4) 3 years of Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology or Electrophysiology in lieu of education OR

5) RCIS and/or RCES and 2 years of experience in Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology or Electrophysiology in lieu of education

Required: Active BLS & ACLS certification (accepted from American Heart Association)

Shift Hours: 7:30AM - 4:00 PM (shift end times sometimes goes until 7pm)

Weekend Work: Occasional

STEMI On Call: Yes (must be within 30 minutes of hospital)
