ChristianaCare's Cardiology practice at the Health Care Center is seeking a detail-oriented, adaptable, and highly organized Medical Office Assistant I with strong communication skills and the ability to proactively solve problems in a fast-paced environment.

ChristianaCare Cardiology provides specialized care in virtually all aspects of cardiology. They work as a team to give our patients the best cardiac care possible.

This department uses state-of-the-art equipment and the latest procedures available in cardiac medicine. They also provide sophisticatedcardiovascular diagnostic imagingservice and provide rehabilitation services to help speed our patients recovery.

Work Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday: 8:30am -5:00pm

Duties / Responsibilities:
The Medical Office Assistant I handles payments, verifies insurance coverage, coordinates referrals, and reconciles daily appointments and payments. They manage communications by answering calls, relaying messages, and using EMR systems to coordinate with providers and staff. The role includes updating patients, scheduling tests and appointments, maintaining medical records, resolving patient issues, supporting administrative tasks, and following safety protocols, with additional duties as needed.

Position Qualifications:

  • High School Graduate or GED required.

  • Experience in a medical office setting is preferred but not required.

Hourly Pay Range: $17.32 - $25.12This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare's good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
