These nurses monitor patients before, during, and after stress tests, which help physicians assess heart function and diagnose cardiovascular conditions. Cardiac Stress Lab RNs are responsible for patient preparation, monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and responding to emergencies. They work closely with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety and accurate test results.

What are some typical challenges faced by a Cardiac Stress Lab RN during stress testing procedures?

Cardiac Stress Lab RNs often face challenges such as managing patients who may experience anxiety or adverse reactions during testing, recognizing early signs of cardiac distress, and coordinating quickly with physicians and other team members in emergencies.
