Diverse Composites is seeking an A-Level Carbon Fiber Composite Technician with proven expertise in vacuum infusion, vacuum bagging, and/or carbon fiber prepreg manufacturing processes. This is not an entry-level production position—we're looking for a craftsman who takes pride in producing world-class composite components with precision, consistency, and attention to detail.
As a key member of our growing team, you'll work on advanced automotive and performance composite projects while helping establish best practices in a fast-paced, team-oriented manufacturing environment. If you're passionate about composites, quality workmanship, and continuous improvement, we want to hear from you.
What You'll Do

As a Senior Carbon Fiber Composite Technician, you'll be responsible for manufacturing premium composite components from layup through final inspection.
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Perform precision carbon fiber layup using vacuum infusion and prepreg manufacturing methods.
  • Execute vacuum bagging, infusion setup, resin flow management, and leak testing.
  • Prepare, handle, store, and process prepreg materials according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Operate and monitor curing equipment, including ovens and autoclaves (where applicable).
  • Trim, finish, and inspect composite parts to ensure structural integrity and exceptional cosmetic quality.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, ply schedules, work instructions, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Maintain strict adherence to quality standards and process controls.
  • Identify and troubleshoot manufacturing defects, including voids, bridging, delamination, resin-rich areas, and dry spots.
  • Assist in developing and improving manufacturing procedures and work instructions.
  • Support Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years of professional experience working with carbon fiber composites.
  • Demonstrated experience with carbon fiber vacuum infusion using vacuum bagging techniques and/or carbon fiber prepreg materials and manufacturing processes.
  • Strong understanding of:

    • Fiber orientation and ply schedules

  •
  • Ability to read engineering drawings, technical specifications, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Experience producing automotive, motorsports, aerospace, marine, or other high-performance composite components.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a fast-paced or startup manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or continuous improvement principles.
  • Experience operating composite curing equipment, including ovens or autoclaves.
  • Leadership or mentoring experience is a plus.
Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the workday.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment while wearing required PPE.
  • Ability to work around resins, solvents, composite dust, and related materials while following established safety procedures.
Compensation & Benefits

  • 55,000 - 60,000, depending on experience and technical expertise.
  • Paid Time Off (PTO).
