Campaign/Capture Director/Business Developer "Rainmaker" - C5ISR San Diego, CA.

As theC5ISR Equipment Support Business Development (BD) "Rainmaker" Federal Strategic Growth Director, you will lead a high-stakes, end-to-end campaign designed to achieve specific strategic outcomes in San Diego, CA. You'll shape the strategy, select the must-win pursuits, orchestrate cross-functional execution, and drive measurable improvements in PWin, pipeline health, and long-range growth for the C5ISR campaign. This role is for a leader who is relentless about outcomes, thrives in ambiguity, and can rally teams to win in complex government environments. Your success will be measured by the achievement of 3- and 5-year strategic objectives that are underpinned by quarterly and annual campaign actions.
This position is contingent upon your ability to maintain/transfer your Secret clearance
In this role you will:
Lead all aspects of a strategic campaign to deliver defined objectives, including:
  • Build the campaign strategygrounded in market intelligence, customer budgets, and competitive analysis.
  • Select and shape the "right-to-win" pursuits-identify pipeline opportunities that will define the campaign and focus resources accordingly.
  • Drive pursuit excellencein close partnership with Pursuit/Bid Teams-improving PWin through disciplined win strategies, clear value propositions, and competitive positioning.
  • Own the investment plan required to win; ensuring technical/product inputs, talent, capital, marketing, and bid development needs are met; manage tradeoffs with rigor and transparency.
  • Set the customer relationship strategyacross the campaign; ensure call plans and engagement rhythms are executed and producing outcomes.
  • Develop campaign branding and messagingwith marketing/communications-ensure the campaign narrative is differentiated, credible, and compelling.
  • Run the operating cadence-regularly update and present campaign strategy, pipeline, investments, risks, and financial outcomes; adjust fast as facts change.

To be successful in this role you will have:
  • An active DoD Secret security clearance
    • U.S Citizenship required
  • A Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum 10 yearsof experience ingovernment contracting(BD/capture/program/operations leadership)
  • Proven strength instrategy developmentandstrategy execution(not just planning)
  • Demonstrated ability to leadcross-functional, matrixed teamsto outcomes
  • Strong capability incustomer relationship buildingand senior-level stakeholder engagement
  • Excellentexecutive communication and presentationskills; comfortable briefing internally and externally
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%-50% to meet customers and industry partners as required (Candidates local to Charleston, SC office will require less required travel)
    • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid U.S Passport
