Job description

Position Summary:

The Senior Consultant working in a CaptivateIQ focused practice is responsible for the implementation of the CaptivateIQ suite of products to meet the client's business and technical requirements.  This position requires a self-starter with good communication skills who can manage their deliverables independently while working well with other project team members.

Responsibilities in this role include consulting throughout the full software implementation lifecycle, from requirements gathering, design, build, testing and go-live. Senior Consultants will help in leading client discovery and review sessions, perform configuration and development tasks and support clients through their testing process. An ideal candidate will have experience implementing a complex software solution within a defined project timeline.

Job Objectives:

The ideal candidate will be able to:

  • Configure complex business scenarios within the CaptivateIQ platform
  • Develop technical solutions to new or highly complex problems that cannot be solved using existing methods or approaches
  • Configure and implement a full solution (Data Workbooks, Transformation Workbooks, Global Attributes, Plans, Statements, User Roles)
  • Establishes procedures to ensure high quality of work (team meetings, deliverable reviews, peer reviews, etc.)
  • Document requirements using a BRD template
  • Lead, develop, and document design activities
  • Uses best practices and standards to organize and keep track of information and manage timelines effectively
  • Ensures needed resources and skill sets required are represented on the team and actively manage scope to avoid scope creep
  • Evaluate team member's deliverables and provide honest feedback and corrective actions to ensure quality and accuracy required
  • Actively pursues alternative ideas and ways of working to maintain budget
  • Weighs the costs, benefits, risks and chances for success when making a recommendation or decision
  • Anticipates potential problems and develop contingency plans in advance
  • Be sought out as an expert to provide advice or solutions in higher technical area

Requirements

Nice to have skills:

  • 2+ years of configuration experience within the CaptivateIQ Platform
  • Minimum 3 years in the SPM sector/Consulting
  • Experience with supporting clients with all self-service aspects of the tool (especially Data integration, Plan Documents, Inquiries)
  • Quick Reporting functionality experience
  • Experience with designing and building using the Advanced Reporting (dashboards and exports) functionality
  • Proven experience leading requirements gathering
  • Advanced skillsets in Excel / Spreadsheet software
  • Expert level communication skills, including writing, listening, and speaking
