Pay: $20.00 an hour.

Our Fulfillment Leads play a vital role in creating a culture where employees are engaged, operations run efficiently, and customers receive the quality and service they expect.

This individual is a working leader responsible for balancing hands-on production with leadership on the warehouse floor. This position spends a significant portion of each shift performing Fulfillment Clerk responsibilities while also supporting Supervisors by coordinating workflow, coaching employees, promoting safety, and maintaining productivity throughout the operation.

Fulfillment Leads are expected to lead through action and not title. They set the pace through their own work ethic, professionalism, communication, and commitment to Capitol's Core Values. They recognize operational challenges, help balance labor across the warehouse with an emphasis on the Production team, and ensure employees have the support they need to be successful.


Schedule: Full-time with flexibility to work varying shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as business needs require.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a working lead by performing Fulfillment Clerk duties while maintaining leadership responsibilities.
  • Meet or exceed individual productivity and quality expectations.
  • Lead by example through consistent performance and professionalism.
  • Help maintain efficient workflow throughout assigned areas.
  • Monitor workflow throughout the warehouse with an emphasis on the Production team.
  • Communicate staffing needs and operational challenges to Supervisors.
  • Assist in balancing labor resources as priorities change throughout the shift.
  • Recognize bottlenecks early and help implement solutions to maintain production flow.
  • Serve as the primary resource for Fulfillment Clerks during daily operations.
  • Answer questions, provide direction, and reinforce company expectations.
  • Coach employees on productivity, safety, and quality standards.
  • Assist with training and mentoring new team members.
  • Promote teamwork and collaboration across departments.
  • Promote a culture where safety is everyone's responsibility.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and safety procedures.
  • Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions immediately.
  • Reinforce quality control procedures and FIFO product rotation.
  • Help maintain clean, organized, and inspection-ready work areas.
  • Maintain professional communication with Supervisors, Forklift Operators, and team members.
  • Communicate changing priorities and operational needs quickly and effectively.
  • Escalate concerns that may impact safety, productivity, quality, or customer service.

Education/Skills/Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous warehouse distribution experience preferred.
  • Previous leadership experience preferred.
  • Understanding of warehouse fulfillment and distribution operations.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to balance personal productivity with leadership responsibilities.
  • Ability to coach employees while maintaining operational performance.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment or become certified on required equipment.
  • Strong attendance, reliability, and professionalism.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as business needs require.

Working Conditions: Fulfillment Leads may work in Ambient, Refrigerated, or Freezer environments based on operational needs. This role requires frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, climbing, lifting, and moving product weighing up to 50 pounds throughout shifts lasting up to 12 hours. Employees may be exposed to varying temperatures, warehouse noise, dust, and cleaning chemicals. Appropriate PPE and cold-weather gear will be provided as required.
