Capital Projects Procurement Manager - Materials Processing Facility - Base Salary to 145k/year - Naples, FL

  • Our client, a leading materials processing organization, is seeking a Capital Projects Procurement Manager to lead sourcing and procurement activities supporting greenfield industrial manufacturing and materials processing facilities. This individual will develop procurement strategies and manage the sourcing of capital equipment, process equipment, OEM machinery, construction materials, and critical suppliers required for new plant construction, facility expansions, and major capital improvement projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate with domestic and international suppliers for capital equipment, process equipment, OEMs, fabrication vendors, and construction materials while meeting quality, schedule, and technical requirements
  • Prepare and manage RFQs, RFPs, bid evaluations, supplier qualification, supplier selection, and contract award processes
  • Evaluate technical and commercial proposals alongside Engineering and Project Management teams
  • Lead negotiations involving pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, warranties, commercial terms, and contract conditions
  • Manage purchase orders and monitor supplier performance throughout the project lifecycle
  • Track project budgets, procurement schedules, long-lead equipment, and procurement milestones to ensure on-time project execution
  • Support inventory planning and operational purchasing for existing facilities and future plant expansions
  • Develop and maintain supplier relationships throughout North America and Europe
  • Coordinate procurement activities supporting greenfield developments, plant expansions, facility upgrades, commissioning, and startup activities

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in procurement and/or strategic sourcing supporting industrial capital projects within recycling, material recovery, material processing, mining, aggregate, cement, bulk material handling, heavy industrial manufacturing, or similar industrial processing environments
  • Proven experience supporting greenfield developments, plant expansions, and major equipment upgrades from concept through commissioning
  • Experience sourcing capital equipment, process equipment, industrial machinery, OEM equipment, fabrication, mechanical systems, and construction materials
  • Experience managing RFQs, RFPs, supplier qualification, supplier evaluation, contract negotiations, purchase orders, and supplier performance
  • Robust understanding of supplier qualification, cost analysis, total cost of ownership, commercial negotiations, and contract risk mitigation
  • Experience collaborating with Engineering, Construction, Operations, and Project Management teams throughout capital projects

Compensation:

  • Base salary in the 115k - 145k/year range
