Job Overview
Starting Spring/Summer 2026 semester, position will work under the supervision of the Assistant Directors and Directors, working collaboratively with Project Managers and Sr. Project Managers to coordinate various projects throughout the project life cycle. Assists Project Managers and Sr. Project Managers with on-site inspections of all aspects of assigned projects to evaluate A/E designers and contractor performance and confirm the satisfactory progression of work. Performs special project activities requiring application of technical expertise to the development of solutions to unusually difficult problems, as assigned. Assist Project Managers and Sr. Project Managers by performing various administrative tasks to help projects stay on track in regards to scope, schedule, and budget. Assists the Director of Planning on planning activities and Assistant Director of Project Programming on project programming.
Work Interactions
This position reports directly to the Director of Planning, Planning and Facilities Management and the Director of Capital Projects. Performs project coordination and management duties under general direction, assists with multiple projects concurrently, engaging regularly in problem solving analyses and reports. Incumbent must ensure that clients' needs are met as projects evolve as well as appropriate staff counterparts in the other Planning and Facilities Management areas. The incumbent will be a collaborative member of multiple project teams; each consisting of from five to twenty team members.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's (working towards or have attained); Project Management, Urban Planning, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Data Analytics or Construction degrees preferred.
  • Requires one to two years' experience managing concurrent initiatives, data analytics, or reporting.
  • Must be computer literate with interest in working in multiple platforms. MS Office fluency is required
  • Requires a high level of interpersonal skills for daily interaction with faculty and staff, clients, GU managers, team members, and public agency officials
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Requires the ability to prepare clear and concise reports, a variety of matrices, oral presentations and code analyses

Pay Range
The projected hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is: $23.50 - $27.50. Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University's business needs and external factors.
