Job Summary: The candidate will provide project management support to execute small and large capital projects within a cGMP environment. They will determine project scoping strategies with client groups and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle including, but not limited to conceptual and detailed design, equipment selection, procurement efforts, commissioning, validation, and project turnover. They will support equipment and site construction activities by drafting technical documentation, including RFP forms, specifications, data sheets, and User Requirement Specifications (URS). Additional responsibilities include leading project related meetings, documenting meeting minutes, and documenting all decisions/action items to progress project efforts. The candidate must oversee all project communications to appropriate stakeholders and responsible trades and subcontractors. The Project Manager will be responsible for maintaining key project performance indicators including milestone schedules, weekly status reports, and project objectives/goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Oversight: Oversee project teams in various phases of project development, from concept design to implementation, testing, and turnover.
  • Collaboration: Work independently but be quick to ask questions and draw upon the best internal, customer, and industry resources to meet customer requirements accurately and efficiently. Build and maintain healthy, long term, professional relationships with coworkers, customers, suppliers, and industry partners. Maintain excellent composure, especially under pressure.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and comprehensive project documentation, including user requirements, schedules, and progress Collect, record, transcribe, and analyze data and document analytical results in reports
  • Communication: Communicate effectively in person and in writing to keep customers, contractors, and project team well informed of pertinent information in a timely manner. Assumes responsibility for filling in gaps in customer communication.
  • Innovation: Foster an environment where new ideas are discussed and developed collaboratively. They will help others overcome resistance to change. The candidate will be dedicated to creating solutions to customers' problems.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, or equivalent preferred).
  • Experience: 5-10 years of Relevant Industry Experience supporting Capital Engineering Projects regulated in cGMP manufacturing environment
  • Technical Skills:
    • General Engineering
    • Knowledge of GMP Change Control Process
    • Basic understanding of Capital Project Lifecycles.
    • Technical Documentation and Writing including URS generation
    • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Adaptability: Flexibility and willingness to work on various projects and tasks, embracing new challenges with enthusiasm.
  • Initiative: Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative to lead projects forward on time and within budget.
  • Nice to Have:
    • MBA, Business Management, or equivalent

Location: Raleigh, NC or Houston, TX

Travel: Flexibility and willingness for occasional travel based on project needs.
