Principal Associate, Program Manager - Credit College
Capital One's Enterprise Learning & Development team is seeking a Program Manager to lead a high-impact cohort program for Credit College. In this role, you will engage stakeholders including learning consultants, business partners, and credit leaders to facilitate and deliver an engaging learning experience.
As one of Capital One's flagship learning portfolios, Credit College fuels our business through practical and immersive credit learning experiences. The target audience for Credit College is business and credit analysts at various levels who are seeking to develop their credit and judgment skills as well as adjacent job families looking to better navigate Capital One's credit culture.
How You'll Work
Our dedicated team of program managers and delivery leads works with highly engaged partners to envision and deliver the future of credit training at Capital One. As a Principal Associate program manager, you will lead the strategy and end to end delivery of this program for learners and presenters.
Program Strategy & Delivery
  • Plan, deliver and facilitate a series of Credit College cohort programs, including three day in-person learning experiences for Capital One associates
  • Partner with business leaders to lead the nomination and selection processes for the program
  • Collaborate with learning consultants and delivery partners to ensure the learning program meets a high bar for excellence
  • Anticipate risks in the program management lifecycle and solve them before they impact the learner outcomes
  • Partner with other program managers in Credit College and across L&D to ensure the program incorporates learning best practices
  • Manage operational processes with an eye on automation and streamlining efficiencies
  • Facilitate reflection and connect the dots for learners on programmatic themes and learning outcomes
  • Own the short and long-term program strategy to align with business needs and outcomes

Measurement & Evaluation
  • Develop and document guidelines and best practices for the program, including program design, associate experience, success measures and outcomes reports
  • Measure program impact through assessments and data analysis, and make recommendations for enhancements
  • Engage with business leaders across the company to collect ongoing feedback to ensure improve the curriculum and ensure a consistently positive experience for the program's associates

  • Has experience delivering and facilitating dynamic immersive learning experiences, with a particular focus on cohort learning / program experiences
  • Has experience driving communications with participants and presenters to keep them apprised of important details and developments
  • Has a consultative skill set that allows them to partner effectively with a wide range of senior leaders and subject matter experts.
  • Communicates with a variety of audiences with a dynamic and conversational style in both written and verbal channels
  • Ensure scope of deliverables, timelines and budget are met; identify risks and issues and mitigate and / or escalate as needed
  • Has an eye for detail and a keen ability to organize, move, select, synthesize, summarize and edit information to make it effective
  • Excels at managing details of a project while also understanding the larger picture, effectively prioritizing tasks with competing timelines
  • Builds trust-based relationships with clients to foster credibility throughout the team
  • Is curious and interested in learning more about our core subject matter: How Capital One makes and manages risks in lending decisions

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • At least 2 years of experience managing learning programs or events for various audiences
  • At least 2 years of experience facilitating training in virtual and in-person environments.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in training programs or learning and development
  • 3+ years of experience in project management, event management, and/or program delivery
  • 1+ years of experience working in the Financial Services industry

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
McLean, VA: $108,900 - $124,300 for Learning Consultant
Richmond, VA: $98,900 - $112,900 for Learning Consultant
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
