Analyst, Capital Solutions

Capital Solutions is a newly formed team within the Capital Markets division of Capital One's Commercial Bank. Capital One Commercial Bank, a top 10 U.S. commercial bank, offers a comprehensive range of investment banking services, including Equity Capital Markets, Debt Capital Markets, Loan Syndications, Structured Products, Mergers and Acquisitions, Derivatives, and Equity Sales, Research, and Trading.

The Capital Solutions team provides specialized capital-raising and capital-markets advisory services to private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies and at times corporate clients. Our mandate spans the full suite of private-market solutions, including:

  • Sponsor-Led Secondary Solutions: Advisory and execution for continuation vehicles, fund restructurings, and liquidity solutions for private equity sponsors looking to extend holding periods for trophy assets.

  • Co-Investments & Structured Equity: Advisory and execution for co-investment opportunities, covering common equity, preferred equity, and junior debt financing structures.

  • Bespoke Financing: Highly tailored capital-raising strategies, leveraging deep investor relationships and bespoke structuring expertise to deliver optimal financing outcomes.

The individual will be a registered representative of Capital One Securities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Pitch & Deal Execution: Support the origination and execution of capital-raising and private placement transactions, including the drafting of pitch books, presentations, and proposal materials.

  • Financial Modeling & Valuation: Build, maintain, and update complex financial models, valuation analyses (DCF, trading comps, precedent transactions), and company/fund performance analyses.

  • Marketing Material Creation: Develop institutional-grade marketing materials, including Confidential Information Memorandums (CIMs), teasers, and management presentations.

  • Investor Log Management: Assist in designing investor targeting lists and manage the tracking of investor engagement, NDAs, questions, and feedback throughout the placement process.

  • Data Room & Due Diligence: Build, organize, and manage virtual data rooms (VDRs) to facilitate due diligence processes for prospective institutional investors.

  • Content Maintenance: Ensure all internal tracking databases, team credentials, and market data repository files are continuously updated.

  • Travel may be required at times for this role to support client pitches, due diligence sessions, and transaction closings.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree or military experience

  • At least 1 year of experience in strategic and capital raising services

  • At least 1 year of capital advisory experience

  • At least 1 year of experience developing financial models

  • At least 1 year of experience in M&A or Investment Banking

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • CFA

  • At least 2 years of experience in strategic and capital raising services

  • At least 2 years of capital advisory experience

  • At least 2 years of experience developing financial models

  • At least 2 years of experience in M&A or Investment Banking

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

New York, NY: $110,000 - $130,000 for Analyst, Capital Solutions











Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
