This position will be based in Charlotte, NC.
Reporting
This role will report to the Manager, Capital Markets.
Summary of Role
The Senior Capital Markets Analyst will support capital markets activities spanning reporting, data operations, and business analysis to advance Palmetto Finance's funding strategies. This person will be a critical connector between the capital markets function and internal business teams, bringing a strong understanding of the business alongside sharp analytical and technical skills. This is an individual contributor role.
Strategic & Tactical
  • Own monthly and quarterly reporting across Palmetto's capital markets funding structures, including tax equity funds, ABS issuances, and warehouse facilities
  • Download, manage, and analyze large datasets to support fund reporting and investor requirements
  • Build and maintain reporting templates for new and existing funding structures, partnering with technology teams to drive automation over time
  • Develop a deep understanding of Palmetto's business, including how solar loan origination, customer relationships, and financing products connect to capital markets activity
  • Support FP&A, treasury, and cash forecasting activities as they relate to Palmetto Finance
  • Liaise with Corporate Finance, Treasury, Asset Management, and Accounting to ensure transparency and alignment on all things Palmetto Finance
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting workflows, data processes, and cross-functional efficiency
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams including Data Analytics, Operations, and Technology

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field
  • 1-3+ years of experience in a finance, analytics, or business operations role; residential solar, FP&A, treasury, investor relations, or utility experience strongly preferred
  • Strong business acumen; you understand how a business works and can connect financial data to operational reality
  • Solid analytical and Excel skills; experience with Microsoft Fabric or similar data platforms is a strong plus
  • Comfortable working with large datasets and building structured, repeatable reporting outputs
  • Proactively takes ownership of tasks, follows through independently, and coordinates across teams to get things done
  • Highly motivated and able to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment where priorities shift quickly
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; can work across finance, technology, and operations teams effectively
