Analyst/Associate - Capital Introductions & Prime Services (Equities)
Location: New York, NY
Role Overview:
Jefferies is seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Analyst to support the Capital Introductions within Prime Services team. This role sits within the Equities platform and provides exposure to Capital Introductions, Strategic Content, and Hedge Fund Advisory & Consulting Services.
The Analyst will work closely with senior leadership to support hedge fund managers across the full lifecycle-from launch through growth and evolution-while helping drive data-driven marketing strategy, investor targeting, and market intelligence. A core component of the role is the application of advanced analytics and AI-enabled tools to enhance client insight, content creation, and capital introduction effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
Capital Introductions & Hedge Fund Advisory
  • Support capital introduction efforts for both start-up and established hedge fund managers across strategies, geographies, and asset classes
  • Assist in evaluating hedge fund managers' investment strategies, performance metrics, risk profiles, and operational frameworks
  • Develop and maintain detailed manager and allocator profiles to support targeted investor outreach
  • Support strategic advisory initiatives related to fund launches, business growth, and institutional positioning

Strategic Content & Marketing Analytics
  • Help create, analyze, and refine strategic content used in client marketing, investor education, and capital introduction meetings
  • Analyze allocator behavior, mandate trends, and capital flow dynamics to inform content and advisory recommendations
  • Support the design of data-driven marketing strategies for hedge fund clients on a global basis

AI, Data & Technical Enablement
  • Leverage AI tools and advanced analytics to automate research, reporting, and client intelligence workflows
  • Build and maintain datasets, dashboards, and analytical models used across Capital Introductions and Hedge Fund Advisory
  • Utilize Python, SQL, Excel/VBA, and AI platforms (e.g., large language models, data extraction tools) to enhance productivity and insight generation
  • Partner with internal technology and data teams to continuously improve analytics infrastructure

Market Intelligence & Internal Collaboration
  • Monitor equity markets, hedge fund performance trends, financing conditions, and investor allocation behavior
  • Synthesize quantitative analysis, market data, and qualitative insights into concise materials for senior management and committees
  • Collaborate with Equities Distribution, Prime Services, and broader Jefferies teams to support firmwide initiatives

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
  • 1-4 years of relevant experience in capital markets, prime brokerage, capital introduction, hedge fund coverage, consulting, or analytics
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills with comfort working with large, multi-source datasets
  • Advanced Excel skills; working knowledge of Python, SQL, or comparable analytical tools highly preferred
  • Demonstrated experience using AI tools for analysis, research automation, or content generation
  • Solid understanding of hedge fund strategies, institutional allocators, and equity market structure
  • Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment

Preferred Qualifications
  • Exposure to hedge fund operational due diligence, business consulting, or allocator-facing roles
  • Experience building internal tools, dashboards, or automated workflows
  • Familiarity with investor relations, fundraising processes, or portfolio risk analytics
