Job description

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Serve on the senior administrative team of the statewide Field Implementation Support Program contributing to strategic planning and decision-making processes. 
  • Manage all operational tasks for the assigned team of Specialists/Technicians providing direct supervision to assure staff meet programmatic and departmental expectations. 
  • Evaluate operational efficiency and effectiveness identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to enhance performance. 
  • Conduct on-boarding and pre-service preparation for Specialists/Technicians; track and collect staff reports. 
  • Implement team quality assurance practices and ensure team quality improvement. 
  • Collect, analyze, track and evaluate internal and external data in addition to data from the field to inform program decisions, recommend new initiatives and training proposals. 
  • Author program protocol and procedures, management reports and training curricula. 
  • Remain current regarding emerging trends, research findings, and best practices in relevant subject matters, incorporating new knowledge into program activities and initiatives.
  • Participate and represent the program in various office, division, IDCFS meetings and training conferences as assigned. 
  • Serve as a liaison between the university and statewide program on programmatic issues. 
  • Represent the Department and University at conferences, symposia, trainings, and other public venues regarding topics related to the FISP program's goals and objectives and relevant subject matters of expertise and data. 
  • Collaborate with internal teams, programs and departments to develop training materials, resources, and tools to support program and practice implementation and capacity building efforts. 
  • Partner with IDCFS regarding transfer of learning strategies for training programs and work collaboratively with the Office of Learning and Professional Development and other collateral entities. 
  • Provide consultation and promote Departmental initiatives and practice improvement with key stakeholders. 
  • Provide outreach, consultation, support, training, professional development and coaching to field service managers, middle managers, agency executive leadership, area and regional administrators throughout the state.
  • Utilize assigned IDCFS/UIUC equipment (laptop, jetpack, copy, scan and LCD projectors, presenters, smartboards, and audio/video equipment), software programs, virtual platforms, various Microsoft Office products, Share Point, Excel, Qualtrics/Survey Monkey and D-Net appropriately and with proficiency as directed and required. 
  • As required, utilize various training functions of the IDCFS Learning and Development Center online learning management system. 
  • Other related duties to further the mission of the unit as assigned.
