Your Role

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operational Leadership: Oversee local branch drivers including safety protocols, warehouse operations, local sales deployment, and customer service teams to execute the Brenntag Essentials go-to-market strategy.

  • P&L & Financial Accountability: Use financial KPIs to measure and optimize local business performance-specifically tracking volume, gross profit, personnel expenses, and operating expenses.

  • Margin & Capital Optimization: Improve conversion ratios and working capital metrics (inventory and accounts receivable). Partner with key Strategic Suppliers and Product Management to optimize volume, pricing, and inventory.

  • Capacity Planning: Formulate comprehensive strategies for plant, equipment, and personnel capacity to meet both current and future regional growth targets.

  • People Management: Set clear metrics, recruit, train, coach, and manage performance across all branch personnel.

  • Execute our desire for continued improvement in top line gross profit growth, while improving conversion ratios and working capital metrics of inventory, and account receivables.

  • Develop a comprehensive strategy to address capacity planning requirements including plant & equipment and personnel to meet current and anticipated growth goals.

  • Understand and use financial Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) and P&L metrics to measure and improve upon business performance including volume, gross profit, personnel expenses, and operating expenses.

  • Increase gross margin and gross margin conversion by working with key Strategic Suppliers and the Product Management / Material Management teams through volume, price and inventory management.

  • Provide leadership and set clear expectations and metrics for all branch(s) personnel.

  • Recruit & hire, reward & recognize, train & develop, coach & counsel, and take corrective action as needed.

  • Maintain documented procedures for work processes by working closely with branch personnel as well as Sub-Region, Regional and BES Divisional resources.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Education: BS in Business Administration, Industrial Distribution, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, or Finance.

  • Experience:

    • Minimum of 10 years in distribution or manufacturing environments.

    • Minimum of 5 years of direct people leadership/management experience.

  • Key Skills: Strong commercial and chemical distribution background, exceptional cross-functional collaboration, and analytical skills.

  • Self-motivated, possessing a high energy level and desire to win

  • Superior teamwork, time management and influencing skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
