Job description

IT Services Capacity Planning Analyst Summary The IT Services Capacity Planning Analyst supports the IT Infrastructure divisions and business segments by optimally managing IT service capacity for tactical and strategic operations planning. In partnership with the platform teams, project accounting teams and service delivery groups you will monitor and maintain utilization models, define performance trends based on fluid demand forecasts, and ensure delivery of infrastructure to meet forecasted capacity requirements in time to support new business demand in a cost effective manner. This includes monitoring and optimizing various IT service supply chains while actively driving budget, procurement, build out, maintenance and decommission activities.

Responsibilities Support the implementation and delivery of standardized cost effective quality IT services Design, develop and publish capacity trend reports depicting baseline utilization and projected growth relative to engineered infrastructure capabilities Model forecasted utilization based on business and project demand forecasts Gather and convert new demand, growth and service lifecycle forecasts into technical capacity requirements Develop and maintain technical capacity models which meet service requirements Translate technical capacity requirements into financial forecasts and budget requirements Support multiple infrastructure service delivery tower's capacity management requirements Analyze and identify supply chain patterns, trends, constraints, and issues Facilitate service and project capacity request escalations Demonstrate strong leadership and judgment Demonstrate ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast paced environment Desired Skills & Experience Advanced skills and proven experience in distributed IT Performance and Capacity Management Advanced skills using Excel and SAS (preferred), and/or other statistical analysis tools
