Job Purpose

The Business Development Manager will report to the Senior Partner responsible for Business Development. This individual will work collaboratively with Section Leaders and the business development and marketing team to cultivate and expand new and existing accounts across the oil and gas, petrochemical, and chemical industries.
The Business Development Manager will assist in defining long-term strategic organizational goals, building key customer relationships, identifying business opportunities, negotiating and closing business deals, and maintaining a deep understanding of current market conditions.
Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape.
Prepare proposals for clients.
Meet sales targets and business development objectives.
Analyze market data to support strategic planning and decision-making.
Develop and implement strategies to generate leads and build a strong sales pipeline.
Attend industry events, conferences, and networking functions to establish relationships with potential clients and partners.
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
Understand client needs and tailor solutions to meet their requirements.
Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop effective sales strategies and promotional campaigns.
Establish sales goals and monitor performance against targets.
Prepare and deliver compelling proposals and presentations to prospective clients.
Negotiate contracts and service terms to ensure mutually beneficial agreements.
Track and analyze business development metrics to measure success and identify areas for improvement.
Prepare regular reports for senior management regarding business development activities, progress, and outcomes.
Position Requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
Salary: Starting at $60,000 annually, depending on experience, plus sales commission.
In-Office position.
Minimum of two years' business development experience in the oil, gas, petrochemical, and
chemical industry.
Ability to develop and grow new accounts.
Solution selling experience.
Excellent communication, analytical, and financial skills.
Strong leadership capabilities.
Revenue generation and strategy experience.
Knowledge of the oil, gas, petrochemical, and chemical industry as it relates to safety and risk management.
