We are seeking an analytical, team player who has an entrepreneurial spirit and innovative problem-solving skills to join our highly intelligent engineering team. As a Product Software Engineer, you will report directly to our Software Development Manager and will be working on ObserVIEW. 


As a Product Software Engineer, you will:

  • Design and write C# and/or C++ code using Test-Driven Development Techniques. 
  • Follow established software development lifecycle process. 
  • Develop user friendly software to support Vibration Research's advanced hardware capabilities. 
  • Develop software after evaluating information needs, studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes, and investigating problem areas as assigned. 
  • Learn and apply agile development methodologies, contribute to development meetings, ask questions to clarify requirements, help to deliver working increments of software each sprint. 
  • Follow the established development lifecycle process. 
  • Complete assigned tasks including analyzing task and brainstorming how to solve. Work with internal team to understand customer specifications and develop the code to meet those expectations. 
  • Follow the direction of experienced coworkers to contribute to solving the problem together. 
  • Provide system and program documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, and code comments as needed. 
  • Write automated tests that ensures good test coverage. Everyone should be able to take functional tasks, review, and complete functional testing. Confirm system and program operation by conducting rigorous testing. 
  • Document work done by using software planning/collaboration tools 
  • Assist in documentation of released software for the sales and support team. 

We believe a Product Software Engineer will be successful if they are equipped with the following:

  •  Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, information technology or equivalent experience required 
  • 1-4 years of software development experience required 
  • Knowledge of C# or C++ 
  • Ability to maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality in working with sensitive, confidential records and information 
  • Highly effective technical and analytical skills and sound judgement 
  • High attention to detail and quality focus  
  • Ability to collaborate and foster teamwork 
  • Knowledge of software design, development fundamentals and process, requirements definition, software and system documentation, testing, debugging, and performance tuning 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite 
  • General programming skills
