Job description

Our client, a medical devices manufacturer, seeks a Senior Manager of Operations.
 
The Senior Manager of Operations leads procurement, production planning, logistics, warehousing, inventory control, and transportation functions. Develops and executes strategies aligned with operational requirements and long-term business objectives.
 
Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the procurement, production planning, logistics, warehousing, inventory control, and transportation departments including performance management and organizational design
  • Accountable for KPI's such as customer order lifecycle service levels and inventory management
  • Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency, productivity, and cross-functional collaboration
  • Contribute to long range operational planning, capacity readiness, and organizational capability development in partnership with operations leadership
  • Support new product development initiatives
  • Perform additional duties as required to support operational and business objectives
  • Directly supervises Shipping & Warehousing Manager, Procurement Manager, and Master Scheduler.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field (STEM), required, Master's preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of progressive experience in supply chain or operations leadership
  • Demonstrated leadership and people management experience
  • Strong strategic, business, and analytical skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills across all organizational levels, including shop floor and management
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and complex projects
  • Experience with procurement, production planning, inventory management, and logistics operations
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems, demand planning, and quality/continuous improvement methodologies
  • Must be able to sit, stand, and/or walk for up to 8-10 hours per day
  • Must be able to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing safety practices and regulatory compliance
