The Office of General Counsel (OGC) Operations Leader is responsible for driving the effective and efficient operations of the following global functions reporting into the company's General Counsel: Legal Department, Global Asset Protection (GAP), Compliance, regional function Government Relations, Corporate Strategy, and M&A.

This role serves as the OGC's internal expert on technology, operational design, and capital management, ensuring the department operates with clarity and measurable impact. The OGC Operations Leader collaborates and influences OGC leadership to shape strategic direction, optimize processes, and reinforce strong operational discipline across the function.

Job Responsibilities:

Operational Strategy & Efficiency

  • Lead the development of the function's strategic priorities, annual objectives and supporting initiatives.

  • Evaluate and redesign OGC workflows to drive efficiency, standardization, and continuous improvement.

  • Establish OGC global standards, metrics, and governance to drive operational consistency and measurable performance.

  • Lead crossfunctional alignment on priorities and strategic project execution.

  • Prepare and deliver executive reporting on performance and key initiatives.

Outside Counsel & Spend Governance

  • Manage the outside counsel program, including RFPs, AFAs, and reverse auctions.

  • Oversee global implementation of outside counsel technologies and governance processes.

  • Direct enterprisewide cost optimization initiatives through disciplined budgeting, forecasting, and capital management.

Technology & Innovation

  • Define and lead the legal technology and digital transformation strategy, including evaluation of new technologies and AI solutions.

  • Drive implementation, adoption, and optimization of core platforms across the OGC.

Communication & Engagement

  • Design and implement a communication strategy that strengthens alignment, visibility, and engagement across OGC.

Leadership & Capability Development

  • Lead global project teams and develop paraprofessional talent to support capability growth and succession planning.

  • Oversee legal operations programs, including technology deployment, spend management, and performance analytics.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 10 years of experience in a legal environment, law firm, or corporate operations setting.

  • Expertise in operations disciplines such as vendor governance, spend management, legal technology platforms, and crossfunctional workflow design.

  • Demonstrated success leading complex, enterprisescale projects with measurable impact on cost, compliance, and operational performance.

  • Strong judgment, discretion, communication skills, and sense of urgency.
