Job description

We are seeking an Engineering-oriented Electro-Mechanical Technician to join our clientโ€™s team. This position combines hands-on assembly and troubleshooting with exposure to engineering documentation, quality systems, and process improvement. It is an excellent fit for candidates with an engineering background who want to grow into Engineering, Quality, or Project Management roles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and wire control panels, conveyors, PCBs, and electro-mechanical systems following engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Perform soldering (SMT & through-hole) and troubleshoot electrical/mechanical assemblies.
  • Conduct testing, inspections, and first-article verification to support ISO 9001 quality compliance.
  • Support engineers in root cause analysis (5-Why, Fishbone), CAPA, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, change orders, RFIs, and compliance reports.
  • Provide feedback to improve manufacturability, design efficiency, and product quality.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Project Management teams on cross-functional projects.

Requirements & Qualifications:
ย  Education & Background

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering (preferred), or equivalent technical training.
  • 1โ€“3 years of experience in electro-mechanical assembly, electronics manufacturing, or QA/engineering support.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in electro-mechanical assembly, wiring, and PCB soldering (SMT & through-hole).
  • Ability to read and apply engineering drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Familiarity with quality systems and standards (ISO 9001, PPAP, CAPA, FAIs).
  • Competence in engineering software/tools (AutoCAD, SOLIDWORKS, MATLAB, Minitab, MS Project).
  • Exposure to Lean manufacturing methods (5S, Kaizen, DMAIC, process improvement).
