General Summary and Purpose:

The Analyst will perform bottom-up fundamental research within the US Mid Cap Growth universe with a focus on the healthcare sector for the purpose of making buy and sell recommendations to portfolio managers of the US Mid Cap Growth funds. This position reports to the MD, Director of Mid Cap Equities.

You Will:
  • Maintain bottom-up research coverage on the mid cap growth universe with particular emphasis on health care.
  • Member of the Mid Cap Growth portfolio team.
  • Independently and thoughtfully conduct equity research.
  • Work collaboratively with our mid cap growth PMs and central research health care analyst team.
  • Generate, develop, and present new investment ideas for the mid cap growth funds.
  • Communicate ideas to other funds internally where applicable.
  • Convey information verbally and through written notes and reports such as industry reviews, company evaluation analyses, and quarterly company updates.
  • Frequent and informal communication with portfolio managers on single stock ideas, themes, and relevant investment ideas.
  • Initiate and maintain contacts with company management.
You Have:
  • Bachelor’s degree plus MBA and/or CFA, strongly preferred.
  • 5 to 10 years of equity research experience.
  • Knowledge of health care sector.
  • Strong fundamental analytical skills.
  • Seasoned and proven judgment and thought process in the field of research.
  • Consistent and strong investment performance.
  • Advanced financial modeling and valuation skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Team player mentality.

Target Compensation:

The target base salary range for this position is $136,000 - $160,000.

Salaries are determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data/ranges, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees, and certifications. Victory Capital Management operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and total compensation may vary based on role, location, department and individual performance.

Victory Capital Management’s total compensation package includes the opportunity for annual compensation bonuses and/or commissions and a generous benefits package.
