Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Control Technician / Quality Assurance Technician to join our manufacturing team in Danvers, MA. This role is responsible for ensuring products meet customer specifications, engineering requirements, and quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on inspection experience, a solid understanding of quality systems, and proven experience performingย First Article Inspections (FAI)ย andย Root Cause Analysis. This position requires someone who is comfortable working on the production floor, conducting inspections, and partnering with manufacturing and engineering teams to drive quality improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections on manufactured components and assemblies.
  • Conduct and documentย First Article Inspections (FAI)ย in accordance with customer and industry requirements.
  • Utilize precision measuring equipment including:
  • Micrometers
  • Calipers
  • Height Gauges
  • Pin Gauges
  • Indicators
  • Other standard quality inspection tools
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T, specifications, and inspection plans.
  • Investigate quality issues and participate inย Root Cause Analysisย and corrective action activities.
  • Support quality assurance processes to ensure compliance with customer, company, and regulatory requirements.
  • Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records.
  • Assist with non-conformance reporting, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Production teams to resolve quality concerns.
  • Support internal and external audits as needed.
  • Verify product conformity and ensure traceability requirements are maintained.
  • Monitor manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for quality improvements.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required; technical training or quality certifications are a plus.
  • Minimum of 2 years of Quality Control and/or Quality Assurance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong experience performingย First Article Inspection (FAI).
  • Experience conductingย Root Cause Analysisย and supporting corrective actions.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and manufacturing specifications.
  • Hands-on experience using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other inspection equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in machining, precision manufacturing, aerospace, medical device, or electronics manufacturing.
