What Youโll Do
Reports to:Chief Accounting Officer (CAO)
Work Location: This role is eligible to be based out of Axon's US hubs located in Boston, New York City or San Francisco and follows a hybrid schedule. We rely on in-person collaboration and ask that team members work onsite Tuesdays through Fridays, with the flexibility to work remotely on Mondays, unless there is an approved workplace accommodation. Strategic & Operational Support
- Serve as a strategic partner to the CAO, driving execution of department priorities and organizational goals.
- Enable effective decision-making by synthesizing information, conducting analyses, and preparing executive-level briefings, MBR/QBR materials, and presentations.
- Lead special projects and strategic initiatives โ including finance transformation, process automation, and system upgrades โ in support of the company's rapid growth.
Financial & Business Insights
- Analyze financial and operational data to surface strategic recommendations and drive performance improvements.
- Partner with FP&A, Business Technology, Operations, and Sales on cross-functional initiatives and process optimization.
- Own the generation and ongoing monitoring of the annual Controllership operating expense budget.
- Prepare presentation materials for executive leadership (COO & CFO) and Audit Committee, and monitor KPIs, reporting timelines, and compliance milestones.
Team & Culture Enablement
- Drive engagement, communication, andteam-buildingacross the broaderControllershiporganization.
- Support talent development, succession planning, and hiring in partnership with HR.
- Champion continuous improvement and change management across the finance function.
Communication & Coordination
- Prepare internal communications, presentations, and dashboards for executive meetings, board updates, and audits.
- Coordinate finance leadership meetings, set agendas, and ensuretimelyfollow-up on action items.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, ora relatedfield.
- 6+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or operations, with exposure to controllership functions.
- Prior experience in FP&A, consulting, M&A, or a business partnership role is highly desirable.
- Proven track record of building and implementing new processes with a hands-on approach.
- A versatile self-starter who is energized by ambiguity, fast-moving priorities, and cross-functional collaboration โ someone who sees wearing multiple hats as an opportunity, not a constraint.
- Strong project management, organizational, and communication skills with robust cross-functional experience.
- Resourceful in data mining, with strong modeling skills to uncover insights and drive informed decisions.
- Ability to translate complex financial and accounting concepts into clear, accessible communication.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in a multinational public company or highly regulated industry.
- Familiarity with financial transformation, digital finance tools, and automation initiatives.
- Proficiency in SQL and/or Python for data analysis and workflow automation.
- Comfortable navigating dynamic, matrixed environments and engaging confidently with executive stakeholders.

Base Pay Range
$151,920 โ $243,072 USD
