What is Cannabis Engineering?

Cannabis engineering is a specialized field focused on the design, development, optimization, and maintenance of equipment and processes used in the cultivation, extraction, and processing of cannabis. Professionals in this area apply principles from chemical, mechanical, and agricultural engineering to improve yields, efficiency, and safety in cannabis production. They may work on everything from greenhouse climate control systems and automated irrigation to extraction machinery and product formulation. As cannabis legalization expands, the demand for skilled engineers who understand both regulatory requirements and plant biology continues to grow.
