Job description:

We are seeking passionate and dedicated Medical Doctors to join our team and assist in certifying patients for the Alabama Medical Cannabis Program. Alabama has legalized medical cannabis for a wide range of conditions, and we are committed to providing access to this alternative treatment option. As a national company with offices in Utah, Maryland, and Mississippi, we also offer telemedicine services in 35 other states. We take pride in being the leading provider of medical marijuana evaluations, having served over 150,000 patients to date.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Patient Advocacy: Support patients in incorporating medical marijuana into their treatment plans.
  • Comprehensive Evaluations: Conduct thorough assessments of patients for the medical cannabis program.
  • Accurate Documentation: Maintain precise and up-to-date notes and medical records using our electronic medical records (EMR) system.

Requirements:

  • Licensing: Valid Medical Doctor (MD) license to practice in Alabama.
  • Certification: DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) and Controlled Substance License.
  • Have at least three years of active medical practice (excluding training programs), or one year with board certification from an ABMS or AOABOS-recognized specialty.
  • Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using technology, specifically our in-house EMR system (training will be provided).
