Working as part of a cross-functional team you lead the R&D activitiesrequiredto complete new product development andmaintainportfolios and/or productivity projects keeping in mind the goal to deliver the desired consumer experience.

How you will contribute

You will work independently to plan, lead, and coordinate technical projects in line with R&D, marketing, and manufacturing requirements. You will effectively communicate status and risks and plan, lead and coordinate pilot plant and factory trialsin accordance withgood manufacturing practice and HACCP requirements. In addition, you will plan, lead and coordinate development activities (e.g.product shelf-life testing,designing forquality, and consumer test preparation. etc.). You will provide direction for product development; you will use digital simulation models to obtain,understandand interpret consumer insights and commercial information. In this role, you will create andmaintainaccurateconsumer-led specifications andbe responsible forstakeholder management and influencing decisions based on conclusions made from analysis and interpretation of results.

Thisis a criticalpositionforthe NA candy businessandreports directly to the Group Leader, North America Candy.

What extra ingredientsyou willbring:

The candidate must be versatile, able to work in cross-functional teams, and be capable of working proactively across multiple projects. The candidate should be able toleverageexperts/partners to ensure compliance with documentation, shelf life, regulatory requirements for NA, FTO/IP, and confidentiality requirements.

Job specific requirements:

  • Minimum of 8 years' experience, preferably in the food industry.

  • Strong technical foundation and technical curiosity. Knowledge of formulation/processes is a strong plus.

  • Able to develop and drive technical projects with proper scientific rigor: conductappropriate testing, gather and analyze data, and develop recommendations based on findings & businesscontext.

  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects,prioritizeand manage complexity, from bench top to full commercialization.

  • Participate in cross functional teams toidentifyand resolve technical issues.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; able to effectively communicate to all levels within the organization

Education / Certifications:

BS in Food Science, ChemicalEngineeringor related field.

Travel requirements:

Up to 30% International & Domestic travel

Work schedule:

On-site role based in East Hanover, NJ. Flexible hybrid work schedule.

Salary and Benefits:The base salary range for this position is $97,300 to $133,815; the exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education and location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results. In addition, Mondelez International offers the following benefits: health insurance, wellness and family support programs, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plans, paid leave programs, education related programs, paid holidays and vacation time.
