What are candidates in the context of job applications?

Candidates are individuals who apply for a job opening and are considered for a position by an employer. They may go through various stages of the hiring process, such as submitting a resume, attending interviews, and completing assessments. Employers evaluate candidates based on their skills, experience, and suitability for the role. The goal is to select the best candidate for the job.

What are some common challenges candidates face during the job application process, and how can they overcome them?

Candidates often encounter challenges such as standing out in a competitive applicant pool, tailoring their resumes and cover letters for specific roles, and effectively preparing for interviews. To overcome these hurdles, it's important to thoroughly research the company and role, highlight relevant achievements and skills in application materials, and practice common interview questions. Networking and seeking feedback from industry professionals can also significantly improve your chances of success.
