What You'll Do
Clinical Excellence & Patient Care
- Escort patients to exam rooms, accurately document chief complaints, and collect vital signs.
- Perform point-of-care testing, including EKG testing, phlebotomy, and laboratory specimen collection and prep.
- Assist Licensed Providers with minor clinical procedures like wound care, ear lavages, breathing treatments, and suture/staple removal.
- Maintain strict sterilization protocols for medical equipment and clinical spaces to ensure patient safety.
Patient Experience & Coordination
- Create a welcoming environment by checking in on patients during their visit and clearly communicating updates to reduce wait times.
- Coordinate seamlessly with the clinical and administrative staff to optimize patient flow.
- Assist patients with mobility and positioning needs with ultimate empathy and respect.
Clinic & Operational Support
- Assist with front-desk operations as needed, including patient registration, answering phones, and scheduling follow-up appointments.
- Maintain complete and accurate patient charts within the EMR system, upholding standard HIPAA compliance.
- Keep exam rooms perfectly stocked, clean, and prepped for the next patient.
Requirements
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), EKG Certification, or Phlebotomy Certification
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Active Infection Control Certification
- Fully comfortable documenting in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
- Strong communication skills, deep empathy, and a collaborative team mindset.
- Previous experience in an urgent and primary care (Preferred)
