Job description

Summary:

The Sales Manager Trainee is responsible for developing the skills and knowledge necessary to transition into a Sales Manager role.  This position provides hands-on experience across key sales functions including customer relationship management, account growth and business development.  The role works closely with experienced Sales Manager for hands on development.  Successful Sales Manager Trainees could be promoted to Sales Manager in about 2 years.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize sales figures to create compelling sales stories, draw conclusions and make informed recommendations.
  • Assist in identifying new business opportunities and market expansion efforts
  • Analyze sales performance, customer trends, and market data
  • Collaborate with internal teams including marketing, logistics and customer service
  • Prepare presentations for internal and external stakeholders
  • Participate in customer meetings, presentations, and negotiations
  • Work alongside Sales Managers to understand territory management, account strategy, relationship building and how to sell Little Trees air fresheners.
  • Address day-to-day customer needs.
  • Support Domestic Sales department by completing a variety of administrative projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree OR
  • 1 year of sales-related experience. 
  • CPG sales experience preferred. 
  • Ability and willingness to travel overnight up to 10% within the US and Canada

Salary: $56,740-$59,740
