PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
Depalletizer Operation
• Reviews daily schedule (run list) to prepare for shift
• Brings empty containers into production process by operating Depalletizer to remove empty containers from pallets
• Maintains constant flow of containers on conveyor at all times
• Communicates with forklift operators regarding pallet movement/removal, dunnage removal, etc.
• Ensures machine is cleared between runs
• Observes condition of containers and removes from line when needed
• Straightens dents in can lips throughout shift when needed
• Performs shift changeover by communicating line/order status at shift change
• Removes tier sheets, pallet straps, pallet frames, etc. and place in designated area(s) as required
• Adheres to Red Gold policies and procedures, including GMPs and safety standards
Machine Maintenance
• Completes CIL checklist to ensure necessary equipment is present and ready to use
• Performs CIL procedure(s) according to specified requirements
• Handles routine machine jams to maintain flow of containers on assigned line
• Monitors machine operation to ensure it is working properly, calls maintenance when needed
• Maintains clean work area by sweeping, clearing debris, and/or wiping down machine
Record Keeping
• Documents inventory usage on each shift using scanner
• Delivers tickets to lab at shift change as required
• Completes damaged item form as needed
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience
• Must be able to understand and carry out instructions while performing manual labor-related tasks
• Must be able to use basic math and writing skills to complete required paperwork

• Standing- to complete most all tasks

• Climbing- to get to parts department, when using ladder, on equipment
• Reaching- to perform activities, to get tools out of toolbox
• Bending/stooping- to pick up tools or parts, to perform work tasks at lower levels or inside a machine
• Twisting- to perform work activities
• Grasping/handling- using tools, manipulating parts
• Transfer wooden frame from pallet to skid, 9 pounds
• Must be able to climb stairs
• Must be able to operate basic electrical switches
• Must be able to operate can rim straightener
• Able to work 45-60 hours/week with occasional overtime to cover for absenteeism and Fresh Pack requirements
