Job description

Job Title: Social Media Intern

Job Summary:

The Social Media Intern will support the Digital Marketing team in executing social media strategies that drive brand awareness, engagement, and traffic for Rooms To Go. This role offers hands-on experience in content creation, social media management, and digital marketing while working closely with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

        Assist in planning and executing social media campaigns across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, etc.)

        Create and schedule engaging content including captions, graphics, and short-form videos

        Monitor social channels, respond to comments/DMs, and support community engagement

        Track and analyze social media performance metrics and provide weekly reports

        Research trends, competitors, and best practices to inform content strategy

        Collaborate with Marketing, Merchandising, and Creative teams to ensure brand consistency

        Assist with on-site content shoots, product promotions, and seasonal campaigns

        Support influencer partnerships and social campaigns as needed

Qualifications:

        Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field

        Strong interest in social media, digital marketing, and retail/e-commerce

        Excellent written and verbal communication skills [zippia.com]

        Creative mindset with ability to generate engaging content ideas

        Familiarity with social media platforms and basic analytics tools

        Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks

Preferred Skills:
