Job description

The Campaign Manager will lead the day-to-day implementation of JF&CS's new fundraising campaign, serving as both a project manager who keeps the campaign moving forward and a relationship builder who helps cultivate the partnerships essential to fundraising success. Working closely with organizational leadership, advancement staff, volunteers, and campaign counsel, the Campaign Manager will coordinate campaign strategy and operations and ensure progress toward fundraising goals. They will manage prospect activity, engage donors, create campaign materials, draft donor correspondence, and engage with lay and professionals to manage campaign committee activity.
This is a high-visibility and high-impact, full-time position with a hybrid schedule, requiring a minimum of 2 to 3 days per week of in-person work. This position is initially funded through August 2029, with the potential to evolve based on organizational needs and campaign progress.
Responsibilities and Expectations
Campaign Strategy and Management
  • Develop and monitor campaign workplans, benchmarks, budgets, projections, policies, and reports
  • Provide clear, accurate, and regular campaign updates and analysis to senior staff and volunteer leadership

Prospect and Donor Management
  • Manage and cultivate a personal portfolio of campaign prospects as the primary relationship manager
  • Manage the campaign pipeline and moves management process across all funraisers working on the campaign
  • Identify, research, qualify, and prioritize prospects
  • Develop cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies
  • Prepare donor profiles, briefings, proposals, solicitation plans, donor correspondences, and meeting materials
  • Coordinate and support donor meetings and follow-up
  • Oversee the maintenance of accurate records in Raiser's Edge NXT

Communications, Events and Collaboration
  • Train, support, and equip campaign committee members and other volunteer leaders to participate confidently in cultivation and solicitation activity, including creation of materials
  • Coordinate volunteer meetings, communications, assignments, and follow-up
  • Coordinate campaign stewaredship and recognition opportunities
  • Support the planning and execution of cultivation, recognition, and fundraising events
  • Collaborate with advancement, finance, program, and executive leadership to align campaign activity with organizational priorities
  • Represent JF&CS at donor, community, and campaign-related events
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Significant experience in fundraising, advancement, campaign management, project management, or related experience
  • Experience working on a capital, comprehensive, endowment, or major fundraising campaign strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated success managing complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and deadlines
  • Experience leading and supporting major gift cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship activities
  • Knowledge of fundraising principles, donor engagement, and moves management
  • Strong project management, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with senior leaders, donors, volunteers, board members, consultants, and colleagues
  • Experience with Raiser's Edge NXT or comparable fundraising datebase preferred
